Dear Members,
In light of the present COVID-19 situation the committee wants to keep you upto date regarding your Tennis Club:
1. The membership fees are due on the 1st April but we have decided to defer payment until 1st June or later depending on the fluid situation. ALL last years members will remain members until this point. Membership fees might be reduced when we know what the situation is and the time scale. This is a sign of good will as it is possible the rules will change and no-one can use the courts in the near future.
2. At present Social play can still go ahead but:
No handshakes/high fives
No chats over the net, keep at least 2m apart
Hand sanitise immediately before and after playing tennis
New balls should be used not the communal ones in the clubhouse
Not to use the clubhouse to congregate and make drinks
Anyone with symptoms of corona virus or self isolating should NOT use the courts
Wipe any surfaces that are touched ie door handles, net winders
3. All organised league matches have been cancelled
4. Ace Tennis Academy are following the up to date LTA guidelines. Please contact Berin if you need any clarification on coaching matters. If there are any changes he will contact the necessary members.
5. If we have any inquires from new members they will pay membership immediately for insurance and contact purposes.
6. Following vandalism of the locks to the courts, new ones have been ordered. Once fitted the new code will e mailed to you all.
7. We have been allocated five pairs of tickets for Wimbledon. As the event has not been cancelled yet we are deferring a decision on the ballot draw until 18th April. We can hold a virtual ballot very quickly if the event is to be held. The deadline for the distribution of the tickets is 15th May. Details of the tickets are on the web site.
