Kelsall Tennis Club has been chosen to be sponsored by the Co-op Local Community Fund for the next 12 months.
How it works
Every time a Co-op member shops at our local Kelsall Co-op store, 1% of what they spend on own brand goods and services goes into the Local Community Fund. Money raised from the sale of carrier bags also goes into the Community Fund. The Community Fund is then divided between the two selected local community groups of which we are one. Over the year, the total money we receive could be several thousand pounds.
What's it for?
The proposal that was accepted is " to fund a free tennis coaching scheme for junior members and to replace some court equipment ". The coaching scheme will start around Easter and full details will be sent out to members by email and will be put on the website nearer the time. Replacement nets and posts will be purchased during the year.
What do I need to do?
1. If you are not already a Co-op member then please join up. It is free and gives you 5% discount on Co-op brand shopping as well as 1% going to the Local Community Fund. Forms are in the shop or sign-up online at www.coop.co.uk
2. When you are a Co-op member then please go online and nominate Kelsall Tennis Club as your preferred charity.
3. Please spread the word to family and friends as any Co-op member can help us to raise funds at no cost to themselves just by shopping in the Kelsall store.
This is a fantastic opportunity to give our junior members some valuable coaching at no direct cost to ourselves - let's make the most of it!
